Turning Japanese

We landed at a local Benihana recently.

The service is impeccable. The kid beverages are fun. This thing has a marble in the neck.

The personal chefs have many tricks up their sleeves.

Mouth watering food.

Dessert - fried banana and ice cream.

Keep in mind that one pays for the service and unique interaction with the personal chef.

Home grown

I was a late starter but managed to keep 2 tomato plants and more.

The pepper plant survived the winter and offered me one fruit.

Yes, the flavors are more intense than other I have but I must plant more next time if I plan on getting anything substantial as food.

Science and food

Fish is such a staple of Portuguese food.

Snowden will eat seafood. Grasshopper prefers to study it.

This ended up being squid in tomato sauce.

Chidhood memories

Having lived in places where papaya, mangos, and guarana were everywhere, I find going to Lee Lee's supermarked and adventure into times of long ago.

Chinese, and Indian eggplant. A pear. Mangos form Asia. Chorizo from Spain. Fish from an unknown place.
