Nothing Bundt cakes

I was handed a promotional coupon to Nothing Bundt Cakes, which got me map questing  the location because I wanted to go taste these cakes.

This boutique bakery is next door to a Target store.

It is full of pretty things that satisfy the eyes and heart.

The signature cakes look like this.

Want to have a stylish kitchen?

And look stylish while in it?

The items for sale are all about baking.

And these sweet thins are a perfect way to experience all the available flavor. Very good indeed.

Empanadas

My handy Tupperware empanada gadget was used yesterday.  I heard the call of the childhood empanadas made on occasion by my mother and set out to explore.  I always learn as I dive and swim in my projects and   take notes about things to improve.  The first batch had a meat filling and I used Philo Dough.

Next, something sweet.

Bok Choy

Bok Choy is a pretty cool vegetable.

It is easy to prepare and cook.  I usually stir fry it with a little something.  Here I used a few pieces of pork I had left over from a previous meal.  Really simple indeed.

Pasta

Pasta and vegetables.

I have yet to learn to make a decent Alfredo sauce, so I just add a bit of milk to me sauteed base.
This is simply a combination of mushrooms, broccoli, and pasta.

Veganist?

As I watched a recent Oprah show I learned about Kathy and her Veganist lifestyle.

I came away with the drive to eat less meat and more fruits and vegetables.

It has been a few weeks now.  I enjoy my carrot/celery/apple juice that I make myself.  I can prepare a meatless sandwich on pumpernickel bread.  I have learned that I want to have a little meat here an there, and some animal products like cheese, milk, and eggs too.
So, I continue on my Viganish lifestyle...

Satisfying

Thinking about food is a time consuming affair.  I have to sneak that thinking into strategic chunks of time, sometimes right in front of the refrigerator.

Who am I cooking for?  Who likes fish? Who will eat the potatoes?  Did I cover all the family members so that no one is left without something to eat.  This dish covered everyone.  I love it all while others prefer one or two of the ingredients.  Salmon, potatoes, tomatoes.
